Michael Brown became a political casualty of mass media hysteria in the wake of Super Hurricane Katrina. Now we find out the truth in it all. We learned that there were no babies were raped in the Super Dome in New Orleans. That the City of New Orleans own police personnel were involved in some of the looting. That New Orleans was already on the verge of Bankruptcy before the Hurricane. We also found out that less people have died since the storm than the normal number of murders in the City of New Orleans, which is only second to the city of Washington, D.C. for murder rates. So in case you are too liberal based and politically motivated to apologize, which quite frankly is owed to Mr. Michael Brown; I have something to say to Brownie:

Dear Michael,

I see you are stepping down now. I want you to know that many of us who closely watched the unfolding of events of Katrina, step by step and stayed up all night and watched every single event; we know that you did what was necessary and expected.

The truth is that mass media hysteria in their haste to drive the sound and fury of the chaos and controversy often insight the politics in the fog of war. For those who really see the truth, we all know you did fine and it is not fair or right that you should become a political casualty. As we both know life is not fair. I just wanted you to know that are a whole lot of people out there that are "With You!" Think on it, continued success in your next endeavor, you are a winner.

2. The Homestead Revolution IV
Homestead Power Once we decide on how much electricity we would want in hard times, we can look at the most practical way to build up a system. Let us say we want to have two-way global communication. We know telephone service could go down for extended periods, so we would be better off with a satellite internet service and perhaps ham radio transceivers or cell phones as back - ups. I like battery back - up systems. Something that could store power enough for my basic needs for a day …

3. How Bill Cosby got it Wrong By Tamika Johnson
Bill Cosby got it wrong. His many speeches regarding the plight of poor blacks in this country and their lack of personal responsibility, were not only off the mark, but completely irresponsible.Cosby failed to take into account many mitigating factors, in what became his regular rants about poor blacks in this country. For example, the last of the civil rights laws was passed in 1965, so it's been forty years since the physical signs of government sanctioned racism have been in place. Please…

4. Thoughts Born of Tragedy ... By Thom Reece
..."history may judge us to be the real bully if, in the our rush to punish someone, we act in ways contrary to our core beliefs and values as a nation"...Speaking as one who is closer to the end of life than the beginning, the observation that "those who do not know or understand history, are doomed to repeat it" takes on new relevance for me. Events of the last week have given us all reason to reflect and try to sort out meaningful lessons. Here are a few observations I believe have meaning f…
