For trial lawyers like John Edwards, the New Orleans disaster is a complete gold mine. These lawyers are already starting to network with one another to file class action lawsuits for mold growth as soon as the water is drained. They are lining up now their networks to contact residents and put adds on TV so they can certify class. Too bad the courts are closed, but soon they will be open again and those lawsuits are already being written and ready to file. They will sue income property owners, REITs, government officials, Levee Contractors, FEMA, Governor’s Office, Mayor’s Office, Insurance Companies and Army Corp of Engineers; you name it, they will be named in the suits.

No buildings which had flood damage will be allowed to remain no matter how minor, as insulation, wood, wall board that got even a little wet now have the potential to grow mold and it will grow well in that region with the humidity. Mold lawsuits have plagued the real estate market and made lawyers rich in large lawsuits and class action cases.

We should all vote these lawyers into office, so they do not sue and screw the property owners of New Orleans. We must elect these lawyers to prevent them from plaguing the rebuilding efforts. We must elect these lawyers to high offices to allow our civilization to grow, without being attacked like an ebola virus. Once in public office we can do what they do best, call them unfit to lead, attack their leadership, call them incompetent, call them liars and blame them for anything that goes wrong? It is the only way they will learn. Think on that and if you disagree with my opinion go to hell.

I, too, am saddened by the disaster in New Orleans and other areas effected and affected by the storm that stomped its way through there.*BUT* jumping on the US Agencies for in-adequate response isn't right either. FEMA, the main agency to respond to these events can not respond, by law, until requested by the Governor of the State(s) involved, and that was slow in coming. These folks "wanted to evaluate the need". Several police agencies, fire, rescue, Army Reserve, National Guard units fr…

B. The Press As WatchdogMany constitutional scholars consider the point of carving out constitutional protection for press freedom to be to guarantee that the press is able to effectively question and challenge government policies and actions. The proper role of the press in relation to government, according to this view, is as watchdog: journalists serve an important function in maintaining both the honesty and effectiveness of government. 3. My Two Cents--Did You Exercise Your Voting Muscle?
Whether or not you are pleased with the results of the 2004 election, the season of high intensity politicking has mercifully come and gone . . . for now. This election day, tens of millions of Americans exercised their voting muscle--more than 120 million by some estimates, or 60-percent of eligible voters--and that's encouraging. Kudos to you if you can count yourself a member of this group! Still other tens of millions of Americans did not vote--many of them between the ages of 18 and 30, the…

Attention far left Democrats and all the rest, of you Democrats, who are too afraid of the far left or to hungry for power to stand up for America. I know that you have never met me, don't know me and don't even know I exist.
