Why do we keep hearing about race in the United States, why do we keep hearing about the race card being played? We are all in this together, yet we are all to blame as well. We need to put this behind us, we need to stop self-segregating, we need to celebrate unique-ness. There should not be any more issues of Black Americans VS White Americans, it is time to get over these things and move the ball forward. You know in sports it never mattered what color your skin was, only your ability. I really liked sports, not just because I was so good, but because the bull stopped when the gun fired, the bullhorn went off, whistle blew or the umpire said; "play ball" I am into best person wins. Best company, best team, strength, not weakness, "Live Strong!" We all get more for the individual and the whole when we reward those who push beyond. This allows the individual to find what they like and are best at, and go do it. Everyone wins. I like winning, as it is part of what makes America great. We are indeed a Nation of winners in this country. You know some have said that if Southerners had, had more foresight they may have saved themselves a whole lot of trouble, had they just picked their own cotton, rather than resorting to embracing the slave trade. Their laziness and thirst for personal wealth ahead of their own ethicalness has cost our entire country much pain, it is negative mark on our nation that did not need to be there. For a group of so-called educated men, they should have studied the Romans Civilization better? Their move to slavery is nothing to be proud of; it has plagued our nation of humble and noble beginnings. But alas we cannot change that, what is done is done. Yet the debate continues; http://ezinearticles.com/blog/comments.cgi?entry_id=383 And in all its sound and fury rather than unite in a common cause we see division at every corner. Rather than working together we the blame game, the race card and quite frankly it is completely unbecoming of an American, whether they are White or Black, so please think on that. "Right now, because of loopholes and shelters in the tax code, a quarter of all millionaires pay lower tax rates than millions of middle-class households. Right now, Warren Buffett pays a lower tax rate than his secretary," Obama told a joint session of Congress. Specifically, the president is proposing to tax millionaires 30 percent of their earnings. "Washington should stop subsidizing millionaires," Obama said. "In fact, if you're earning a million dollars a year, you shouldn't get special tax subsidies or deductions." So how would the Buffett Rule really work? How many people would it affect? Talking to Strangers One day, when my son was ten years old, he asked me, 'Mom, how come you talk to just anyone so easily?' Until my son's question, I hadn't thought of conversation as a topic. I wasn't even aware that my talking to strangers was an issue. If anything, I surmised, others started the conversation most of the time. Conversations with strangers begin with a question or an off-hand comment, usually after eyeing each other or assessing the other person's appearance. This happens, in general, when we ac… 3. Nitwit Nation: Is America Too Dumb for Democracy? By Dan Nerhaugen Most Americans are enthusiastic supporters of their own civic rights, but few bother to meet any would-be democrat's (or any would-be republican's, if you prefer) number-one responsibility: that of keeping oneself sufficiently literate and well informed to be able to vote rationally and knowledgeably. Mountains of too-long ignored evidence show that the vast majority of our nation's citizens cannot possibly meet that responsibility -- that their functional literacies are so limited that our fo… UK Music Bulgaria Property 4. Supreme Court Justices Unethical Behavior? We have all read about Jack Abramoff and how lobbying is done in Washington. They are not elected, but appointed. They are in that position for life or until they decide to retire.
